Departure of Shri T M Srinivasan.

The scriptures declare Acharya Devo Bhav:  .    Even in the tradition of Vedanta , one’s Guru is held always as a adorable and worshipful  personality.

Even though the scriptures only refer to  the Self realized Jnani as Guru in the context,   from time immemorial ,  we respect all other material teachers as well.
So the disappearance of the attractive personality Shri T M Srinivasan is a loss to one and all,  who listened to him in their class lectures during school days.

I re-collect with tears,  the unfinished story of some Scottish Mystery,  which TMS started in my class X, but he never completed.
Probably ,  it is a continuing story that never ends.

TMS sir meant many things to many people,  but one thing he kept to the last ,  at least to the  last I saw him,   that is his pleasant smile,  the ‘Keep going’ smile,  and the bond he felt to Thiruchendurai people.

When he spoke in the School Morning assembly, he had a rare grip to hold his audience who were naughty boys.

The last I saw him was in 2007 when I attended a bhajan program of vittaldas Maharaj in Trichy.

Words don’t any more reach him,  for He has entered that state which prevailed the rise & fall of cosmos.
Whatever tears we offer now ,  we really offer to ourselves.

Really speaking,  I did not think of writing this tribute,  for this whole world is full of many tributes for many famous men,  but the Heart may not be fully revealed in these messages.
And further these tributes only satisfy those around now, for we cannot  in any sense of the material terms,  reach to the language of the departed.

But then , something from within,  probably The Essence of Devotion to one who imparts knowledge ,  whatever that knowledge may be , that  made me to write something.

I close with a message from  Marati saint his Holiness Shri Nisarghadatta Maharaj:  (taken from his book Nectar of Immortality)

Because a human being considers himself an individual,  he suffers pain and pleasure,   But
in the state of consciousness there is no such question of happiness or unhappiness.

These are experienced only at the body-mind level.  I , Maharaj, have transcended this state of body-mind --  that is the individual state.
I anymore do not have concepts regarding birth or death.
Total loss of pride in individuality is my Nirvana.

I am in that state, which was present before the birth of this body,  that eternal primordial state.

My salutations to that Primordial state of Eternity.

Krishnamoorthy alias Sathya.
